Vecchia Osteria Seseglio was originally a farmstead in the agricultural area of Seseglio, on the border with Italy. It is difficult to say exactly when it was built, but there are three fireplaces in the Vecchia Osteria, of which one is dated 1861 and one 1868. It is thought that there were originally two properties, one used as a hostelry, and later turned into a restaurant, and another next door with a stable, farmyard and typical rural buildings of the times. Both properties have recently been renovated with total respect for the original materials and design.

Works by contemporary Ticino artists are periodically housed in the dining rooms at Vecchia Osteria. Currently on display are the delicately modern works of Aoi Huber Kono, who is also the designer of Vecchia Osteria Seseglio’s graphics.
